Medicaid spending is set to surge to over $1 trillion by 2026, while the number of enrollees tapers off.

Driven in part by the Affordable Care Act’s Medicaid expansion, it’s projected that over the next 10 years, “expenditures would grow at an average annual rate of 5.7%, reaching over $1 trillion by 2026,” the article says.
