United States Uninsured Rate Fell to 8.8% in 2016
Census Bureau data released last week reported that only 8.8% of the US population did not have health insurance during 2016. Senate Panel To Begin Hearings in Effort to Improve ACA Marketplaces
The Washington Post (9/5, Goldstein, Eilperin) reports the Senate’s Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee will hold the first of four hearings seeking to build agreement on strengthening the Affordable Care Act’s insurance marketplaces, in “the closest collaboration between Republicans and Democrats in years.”
